If not correctly addressed, these areas can increase heat transfer through the building envelope and reduce internal surface temperatures, potentially increasing the risk of surface condensation and mould growth under unfavourable temperature and humidity conditions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Maintaining the continuity of thermal insulation across these structural elements is therefore an important part of the thermal design of the building envelope.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>X-FOAM\u00ae EASY PIL<\/strong> is an extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation board specifically designed for the treatment of thermal bridges. Their positioning must be coordinated with the formwork, reinforcement and structural requirements so that the insulation remains correctly located during casting.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">After installation, the XPS surface is prepared to receive the specified <strong>reinforced base coat or finishing system<\/strong>.
