Once laid, the insulation panels do not require mechanical fastening. If the structure is part of a cold storage room, before laying the insulation layer, a waterproof membrane is applied as a barrier to vapor. A separating layer is to be applied on the layer of <strong>X-FOAM<sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> panels to protect the insulation from the cement that will be cast on the reinforcement grid placed on the separating layer. The purpose of the reinforced concrete of at least 8 cm in thickness is to distribute the loads. A final layer of asphalt completes the structure.<\/p>","meta_avvertenze":"<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">For industrial floors, insulation should not be selected solely on the basis of its <strong>compressive stress at 10% deformation<\/strong>. Where significant permanent loads are present, the long-term behaviour of the insulation under sustained compression must also be considered according to the relevant declared product characteristics and structural design requirements.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The compressive strength of X-FOAM\u00ae HBT, HBT 500 or HBT 700 should <strong>not be interpreted as the permissible load of the finished floor<\/strong>. Loads are transferred through the complete construction, including the floor slab, reinforcement, load-distribution layers and insulation.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Particular attention should be given to <strong>concentrated loads<\/strong> generated by columns, racking systems, machinery, vehicle wheels and other heavily loaded areas.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">In cold-storage applications, the complete floor requires specific <strong>hygrothermal design<\/strong>. The position and characteristics of vapour-control, waterproofing and other protective layers depend on the temperature and moisture conditions on both sides of the floor construction.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">For low-temperature cold stores, the design must also consider the thermal behaviour of the <strong>ground or space beneath the insulated floor<\/strong> and any measures required by the project to prevent undesirable sub-floor conditions.<\/p>\r\nThe appropriate X-FOAM\u00ae grade and insulation thickness should therefore be selected according to both the <strong>thermal and mechanical requirements of the complete
