Thermal insulation below tiles for ventilated pitched roofs combines a continuous insulation layer with an under-tile ventilation path designed to promote air circulation from the eaves towards the ridge.
X-FOAM® EASY TEGOLA is an extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation board specifically designed for this application. The boards feature three longitudinal grooves on the upper surface to promote micro-ventilation beneath the roof covering, together with transverse grooves designed to accommodate the tiles.
The system therefore integrates thermal insulation and support for the tile layout within a single XPS element, simplifying the construction of the roof build-up.
X-FOAM® EASY TEGOLA provides a compressive strength of ≥ 300 kPa and is available in different lengths according to the required tile pitch and in thicknesses from 40 to 120 mm.
The continuous XPS layer contributes to the thermal performance of the pitched roof, while the longitudinal ventilation channels allow air to circulate beneath the tiles when correctly connected between the eaves and ridge.
