At the core of POLIISO® TEGOLA is polyiso (PIR) foam, a high-performance thermal insulation material characterised by low thermal conductivity. Thanks to its insulating properties, PIR makes it possible to achieve high levels of thermal resistance with relatively limited thicknesses. This is particularly important in roof applications, where the overall thickness of the build-up can influence construction details, roof geometry and available space.
An efficient insulation layer helps limit heat transfer through the roof, contributing to reduced heat loss during winter and improved thermal protection during summer.
Specifically designed for under-tile installation
POLIISO® TEGOLA is not simply an insulation board. It has been developed as a dedicated solution for pitched roof applications. The panel incorporates a metal tile-support profile, providing a practical support for the installation of the roof covering. This integrated configuration helps reduce additional on-site operations and simplifies the organisation of the roof build-up.
The result is a system designed to combine:
- thermal insulation;
- support for the roof covering;
- installation efficiency;
- accurate positioning;
- continuity of the insulation layer.
By integrating different functions into a single solution, POLIISO® TEGOLA helps make roof construction more practical and efficient.
Thermal performance with reduced thickness
One of the key advantages of PIR technology is the relationship between thermal resistance and insulation thickness. POLIISO® TEGOLA has a declared thermal conductivity λD of 0.022 W/m·K, allowing high thermal resistance to be achieved without unnecessarily increasing the thickness of the roof build-up. This provides designers with greater flexibility when developing high-performance pitched roof constructions and can be particularly useful in renovation projects where available space may be limited.
Euroclass E reaction to fire
In addition to its thermal properties, POLIISO® TEGOLA is classified Euroclass E for reaction to fire according to EN 13501-1. Reaction-to-fire classification is an important parameter when selecting construction products and should always be considered together with the requirements of the complete roof system and the applicable building regulations.
