X-FOAM® HBD

X-FOAM® HBD is an indigo-blue thermal insulation board made of extruded polystyrene (XPS), manufactured with extrusion skin and four straight butt edges. Designed for thermal insulation in building applications, the board combines thermal performance with high mechanical resistance and the characteristics typical of closed-cell XPS insulation.

X-FOAM® HBD has a declared compressive strength of ≥ 300 kPa, making it suitable for applications where the insulation layer may be subjected to mechanical loads. The boards are manufactured in a standard size of 600 × 1250 mm and are available in thicknesses from 30 to 100 mm.

The product is classified Euroclass E for reaction to fire according to EN 13501-1.

Thanks to its technical characteristics and straight-edge configuration, X-FOAM® HBD can be used in a wide range of thermal insulation applications, including non-treadable inverted roofs, flat roofs, green roofs, pitched roofs with a ventilated cavity beneath the roof covering, ventilated façades, suspended floors and radiant floor systems. The suitability of the product and installation system should always be assessed according to the specific application and project requirements.
