X-FOAM® WAFER

X-FOAM® WAFER is an indigo-blue thermal insulation board made of extruded polystyrene (XPS), characterised by its distinctive wafer-patterned surface and four straight edges. The product takes its name from this particular surface finish, which gives the board its recognisable textured appearance.

Depending on thickness, X-FOAM® WAFER provides compressive strength values from ≥ 200 kPa to ≥ 250 kPa. The boards are manufactured in a standard size of 600 × 1250 mm and are available in a particularly wide range of thicknesses, from 20 to 240 mm, allowing the insulation layer to be dimensioned according to different thermal design requirements.

Its surface configuration makes X-FOAM® WAFER particularly suited to building applications where a textured XPS board is required. Typical applications include external wall insulation, soffit insulation over open or unheated spaces and the insulation of thermal bridges.

X-FOAM® WAFER is classified Euroclass E for reaction to fire according to EN 13501-1.
