POLIISO® VV

POLIISO® VV is a thermal insulation panel made of rigid closed-cell polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam, faced on both sides with saturated glass fibre. Its configuration provides a versatile PIR insulation solution suitable for different building-envelope applications and roof build-ups.

Depending on thickness, POLIISO® VV has a declared thermal conductivity λD ranging from 0.025 to 0.028 W/mK according to EN 13165, combined with a compressive strength of ≥ 150 kPa. The panels are manufactured in a standard size of 600 × 1200 mm and are available in thicknesses from 20 to 140 mm, allowing the insulation layer to be dimensioned according to the thermal performance required by the project.

The saturated glass-fibre facings on both sides allow POLIISO® VV to be integrated into different construction solutions. Applications include warm roofs beneath synthetic or bituminous membranes, metal deck roofs, ventilated pitched roofs beneath bituminous membranes and warm green roof systems.

POLIISO® VV has a maximum operating temperature of 110 °C, providing a further technical parameter when selecting and designing the insulation layer within the complete roof build-up.

Frequently asked questions - faq

Can POLIISO® VV be used with both synthetic and bituminous roofing membranes?

Yes. POLIISO® VV is suitable for warm-roof applications beneath both synthetic and bituminous membranes. It can also be used on metal decks, ventilated pitched roofs and warm green roofs.

What distinguishes POLIISO® VV HD from standard POLIISO® VV?

POLIISO® VV HD is the high-density version, with a compressive strength of ≥ 200 kPa compared with ≥ 150 kPa for POLIISO® VV. It retains saturated glass-fibre facings on both sides and is suitable for different roofing applications.
