POLIISO® SB HD

POLIISO® SB HD is a thermal insulation panel made of rigid closed-cell polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam, designed to combine thermal insulation performance with increased mechanical resistance. The PIR core is faced with two different supports: bituminised glass fibre on the upper side and saturated mineralised glass fibre on the lower side.

The designation HD – High Density identifies the version with enhanced mechanical performance, providing a compressive strength of ≥ 200 kPa. Depending on thickness, POLIISO® SB HD has a declared thermal conductivity λD ranging from 0.025 to 0.028 W/mK according to EN 13165.

The panels are manufactured in a standard size of 600 × 1200 mm and are available in thicknesses from 30 to 160 mm, allowing the insulation layer to be dimensioned according to the thermal performance required by the project.

POLIISO® SB HD is suitable for applications beneath torch-applied bituminous membranes and has a maximum operating temperature of 110 °C. Its applications include warm roofs, ventilated pitched roofs and warm green roof systems, particularly where the insulation layer also requires increased compressive strength.
